Instead, just have CompanionLink sync Outlook to Google. As to frustrated ace_3s3s3s's problem, I'd suggest not using CompanionLink to sync to a Droid Incredible. Wanted to post this somewhere, in hopes this might help someone else having the problem. On a wild hunch, I went back into the CompanionLink setup, and put in my gmail address instead. So, I'd put that non-gmail address into CompanionLink for my Google logon. Google lets me sign in with a non-gmail address (that I commonly use), even though I also have a gmail address. Anyway, just wanted to post that I solved the problem for myself, before I finished my support request. Note that their general support information doesn't provide any info about solving the problem. Sync failed - got a reference to Google, error 403:Ĭannot request contacts belonging to another userĪpparently this is a known problem to the vendor, since Google Error 403 is on the drop-down list when requesting technical support.

Just installed Outlook 2010, and Companionlink.

So, anybody got any ideas how to sync ACT! with the Droid Incredible? I'd hate to have to go back to Outlook.

I politely explained to the receptionist what the problem was, and asked that he call me back directly (rather than hand off the call to someone else). CompanionLink for Outlook is the best App to sync Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes from Outlook on your PC to your Android Phone or tablet. I was told he was at lunch, but would call back upon his return. After spending about 20+ hours of my own time in trying to help them fix the issues, I called the support liaison directly, but he was busy, so I escalated the call to their support manager. Their "support" people are by-and-large friendly, but they apparently aren't given the tools to be able to diagnose what ails this product, despite the 8 calls I've been on numerous upgrades (both to the PC and phone) clean wipes of the phone, one-way syncs from PC to phone, and on and on. The product continually deletes appointments from ACT! when syncing (randomly) sometimes duplicates all 1,200 contacts doesn't properly sync from Android to ACT!, and has even corrupted the ACT! database beyond repair, so I literally had to start from scratch all over again. I've been speaking with their support people for almost a month now, to no avail.

Then I switched to an Android-based phone, and these people literally just can't get it to work. When I used it with my blackberry, it worked fine.
